FastFitness is a Fitness Centre with a difference. The Fitness Centre is built in a 100 year old house. The Centre offers patrons high end facilities at affordable rates. Owner, Robin Gand has equipped the Gym with the latest and best equipment imported from the States. Numerous tailor made packages are available to suit members' budgets and lifestyles.
FastFitness was established in 2006 by owner Robin Gand. Robin has 30 years’ experience in the Fitness Industry and has always had a passion for Physical Exercise and performance. He represented his Province for Athletics and was one of the first conditioning specialists in South Africa to introduce Olympic Lifting as a form of strength training for athletes.
Robin formerly trained a number of first class rugby players including the likes of Robbie Kempson, Wayne Fyvie and Jeremy Thomson to mention a few. In addition to this he has also presented for SARU and attended numerous overseas workshops, conventions and trade shows.
FastFitness is also the sole distributor for Cybex, Keiser and Ivanko Barbell Company in South Africa. FastFitness has been responsible for the supplying equipment to numerous High Performance Centres in the past six years, which include, Prime HPC in Moses Mabhida, Bafokeng High Performance Centre in Rustenburg, Potchefstroom High Performance Institute and also the Sharks and Blue Bulls.
FastFitness Centre uses the same High Performance Equipment used by top athletes which is key to giving the exercise enthusiast a results orientated workout whilst reducing the risk for injury. We all choose not to drive inferior cars from the east if we can afford to, so why exercise on inferior equipment which will expose us to acute and chronic injuries…
The centre offers Personal Training, iFIT Classes, 12 week challenges, membership options, Ultra Sound Bodyfat assessments and Sports Massages.
FastFitness is also the campus of the Durban Region of HFPA (Health and Fitness Professional Academy) which is responsible for educating a considerable number of Personal Trainers and Strength Conditioning Coaches every year.
FastFitness is the distributor of Keiser, Ivanko, Swift, Cybex and numerous other brands in Southern Africa. Robin Gand has over 25 years experience in the Fitness Industry. As an End User of product for many years he knows the importance of choosing the right equipment. Products must perform and be backed by warranties and professional after sales service.
